Housekeeping Manager

As a Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee the housekeeping department at the hotel, being responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for all guests.

What you’ll do 

• Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily 

• Lead and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction 

• Oversee the housekeeping department budget, take inventory, and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies 

• Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues, such as room damage or maintenance requests to the Front Office 

• Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed 

• Assign duties to members of staff 

• Listen to customers’ complaints and ensure that the complaints are addressed efficiently and effectively 

• Order supplies for the housekeeping department 

• Ensure efficient use of departmental resources 

• Direct all housekeeping activities 

• Proven work experience as a Housekeeping Manager or similar role, ideally in a 5* hotel environment 

• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks 

• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products 

• Excellent organizational and team management skills 

• Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
