About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Head of Commercial Finance & Enterprise Performance to join our senior leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role leads Kotahi's Commercial Finance capability and plays a critical role in helping the organisation make better, faster, and more commercially sound decisions.

Working closely with the Executive Team, you'll bring together customer demand, operational plans, commercial opportunities, resource requirements, and financial forecasts into a unified view of enterprise performance. You'll lead the organisation's integrated planning and forecasting processes, provide strategic commercial insight, and influence significant customer, partnership, investment, and transformation decisions.

This is a high-profile leadership role offering broad enterprise exposure and the opportunity to shape the way a complex New Zealand business plans, measures, and delivers performance.

About You

You're a commercially minded leader who combines strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex information into clear actions and decisions. You enjoy working across a business, building trusted relationships, and influencing outcomes at the highest levels.

You're equally comfortable challenging assumptions, evaluating investment opportunities, and helping leaders navigate complex commercial decisions. Most importantly, you're passionate about building capability in others and creating value through better business performance.

You'll also bring:

• Significant experience in senior commercial finance, strategic finance, corporate finance, consulting, or enterprise performance leadership roles.
• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• CA, CPA, CFA, MBA, or a similar postgraduate qualification. (desirable)
• Strong commercial modelling, forecasting, business case development, and scenario analysis capabilities.
• Experience partnering with Executive Teams and providing strategic financial advice.
• The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to senior stakeholders and Board-level audiences.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving better business outcomes.
