About this role

About Reflow

Reflow is a workforce and workflow intelligence platform for enterprise ops teams, built on a privacy-by-design foundation. We help operations leaders see what's actually happening across their teams and workflows, then automate what should be automated, all without the surveillance baggage of legacy monitoring tools.

We're an early-stage, founder-led startup with real paying customers and strong product-market signal. What we don't have yet is visibility. We're looking for someone to fix that.

The role

We're looking for a freelance/contract marketer to own the intersection of product marketing and storytelling at Reflow and build an ongoing visibility engine through content motions. You'll spot opportunities in the market (competitor launches, industry shifts, trending topics, hot-button news, narrative openings), shape them into a sharp point of view, and drive the process of getting that story out via content: landing pages, video, and a steady cadence of social content.

You'll progressively refine Reflow's core narrative through the work itself: testing angles in public, watching what lands, and hardening the through-line over time.

You don't need to be deeply technical. You do need the judgment to spot a good angle and the instinct for what makes people stop scrolling. When something needs technical depth, you'll work directly with our engineering team to get it right. Your job is the strategy, the narrative, and getting it shipped.

What this looks like in practice

A competitor publishes new research. You recognize it as an opening, pull in our engineering team for the technical substance, shape a narrative around it, brief a landing page and visuals, and sequence a multi-post campaign that builds buzz. That's one example of the kind of moment we want you watching for, on an ongoing basis.

What you'll own

  • Expressing and evolving our core narrative across everything you publish (we set the foundation with you; you take it to market)

  • Spotting market and competitive moments worth reacting to, and ones worth originating

  • Shaping those moments into clear campaigns tied to our point of view

  • Coordinating with engineering for technical accuracy where needed

  • Briefing and/or producing landing pages, video, and social content

  • Running publishing cadence so this is a steady drumbeat, not a one-off

  • Measuring what happens: tracking which narratives, angles, and stories land with which audiences and why

  • Feeding that read back into the work, so the narrative sharpens with each cycle instead of repeating

What we're looking for

  • A background that blends content and product marketing, owning both the story and executing the content

  • Strong strategic and editorial judgment, you can look at a market moment and see the angle others miss

  • A reactive muscle, you stay on top of industry news and trends and act with fast turnarounds on live market moments

  • Experience in early-stage B2B SaaS marketing (seed to Series B), comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited resources

  • Track record of running campaigns end-to-end, not just writing copy someone else briefs

  • Comfortable directing or lightly producing landing pages and video (full production support not required, but you should be able to brief well)

  • Comfortable with the data side. You look at what landed, dig into why, and let that steer the next round.

  • Bonus: technical fluency or comfort learning enough to translate engineering substance into a story

  • Bonus: an eye for making content discoverable and citable in AI search (AEO/GEO)

Engagement

Freelance/contract, project or retainer basis. Open to discussing scope and cadence based on fit.

To apply

Send us an example of a market or competitor moment you'd react to today if you were running this for us, and roughly how you'd approach it. We're more interested in how you think than a portfolio of past work.

Compensation:

We offer competitive pay based on the market and where you’re located. The salary ranges in our job postings are intentionally wide because they need to cover both U.S. and international candidates. Our final offer will depend on things like your experience, skill set, and location.
