Plant Care & Maintenance Executive
Department: Production / Plant Care
Reporting To: Production Manager / Warehouse Manager
Location: Gurgaon ,Warehouse / Nursery
Job Purpose
The Plant Care & Maintenance Executive is responsible for maintaining the health, growth, and quality of indoor plants in the warehouse or nursery. The role ensures proper watering, fertilization, pest control, and plant grooming so that plants remain healthy and ready for
dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Health Management
• Monitor daily health condition of all plants in the warehouse.
• Identify issues like yellow leaves, pest attack, fungal infection, or plant stress.
• Take immediate corrective action for plant recovery.
Watering Management
• Follow proper watering schedule for different plant varieties.
• Ensure plants are not overwatered or underwatered.
• Maintain watering records if required.
Plant Grooming & Maintenance
• Remove dry or damaged leaves.
• Clean plant foliage for better appearance.
• Ensure plants are presentable and market-ready.
Fertilizer & Growth Management
• Apply fertilizers, micronutrients, or growth promoters as per schedule.
• Support plant growth to achieve desired size and foliage density.
Pest & Disease Control
• Monitor plants for pests like mealybugs, aphids, mites, and fungus.
• Apply suitable pesticide or treatment when required.
• Maintain plant hygiene and sanitation.
Plant Arrangement & Space Management
• Maintain proper plant spacing for air circulation and light.
• Organize plants according to size, variety, and dispatch schedule.
Support to Production Team
• Assist in repotting, soil mixing, and plant preparation.
• Ensure plants are properly prepared before dispatch.
Documentation
• Maintain records of plant care activities, plant losses, and treatments applied.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Plant survival rate
• Plant growth and foliage quality
• Pest and disease control effectiveness
• Proper watering and maintenance schedule
• Dispatch-ready plant quality
Required Skills
• Knowledge of indoor plant care
• Understanding of watering, fertilizers, and pest control
• Ability to identify plant stress or diseases
• Good observation and attention to detail
• Ability to work with nursery / warehouse teams
Qualification
• Diploma / Degree in Horticulture / Agriculture (preferred)
OR
• Minimum 2–3 years experience in nursery or plant care

• Passion for plants and nature
• Responsible and disciplined
• Physically fit for plant handling work
• Good teamwork ability
Working Conditions
• Work will be in plant warehouse / nursery environment
• Daily physical work like watering, moving plants, and grooming plants
