Supervisor Welding – Expressions of Interest 

Gladstone, Queensland | Shutdowns, Maintenance & Project Opportunities 

Lead High-Performing Welding Teams Across Major Industrial Projects 

EnerMech is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Supervisor Welding professionals for upcoming shutdown, maintenance, and project opportunities throughout the Gladstone region. 

This opportunity is suited to hands-on leaders with a strong background in welding operations, quality assurance, workforce supervision, and safe project execution within heavy industry environments. 

About the Role 

As a Supervisor Welding, you will oversee welding activities on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while leading and supporting multi-disciplined work crews. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Supervising welding personnel and subcontractors 
  • Coordinating daily work activities and resource allocation 
  • Ensuring compliance with welding procedures and quality requirements 
  • Driving a strong safety-first culture across all operations 
  • Monitoring productivity and project performance 
  • Liaising with clients, site management, and project teams 
  • Supporting shutdowns, brownfield maintenance, and capital projects 
  • Ensuring all work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to specification 

What We're Looking For 

  • Demonstrated experience in a Welding Supervisor position 
  • Extensive experience within mining, oil & gas, power generation, LNG, resources, or heavy industrial sectors 
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, procedures, and quality systems 
  • Proven leadership and team management skills 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities 
  • Commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement 
  • Current Driver's Licence 
  • Relevant trade qualification and supervisory experience 
  • Additional site inductions, certifications, and tickets highly regarded 
  • Recent Police Clearance
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Local to Gladstone
