About this role
As an Engineering Support Specialist II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will participate in process improvements that result in cost and time savings. You will interact with multiple teams in engineering and ISC, as well as supporting Performance and Operability Design System (PODS) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with interest in gas turbine engines to join the Performance & Operability and Methods team at Phoenix Engines. The gas turbine engine powers a wide range of commercial and military aerospace platforms. This position requires the individual to have a foundational knowledge of gas turbine engine thermodynamics and to perform engine steady state modeling, testing, test cell correlations, data reduction, and ISC support. The individual will participate in process improvements that result in cost and time savings. The individual interacts with multiple teams in engineering and ISC, as well as supporting Performance and Operability Design System (PODS) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives.
- Provide Performance & Operability modeling, test coverage, and data reduction to support gas turbine engine development, cert/qual, and production under direct supervision of an engineer
- Provide Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) support to P&O to drive INCOSE 2.0 and 3.0 deliverables
- Prepare detailed test plans, including instrumentation, data acquisition and test schedules
- ISC production support, including test cell support, production margin tracking, diagnostics, PETS Online maintenance
- Support customers with fielded engine systems
- Travel domestically and internationally: 10%
You Must Have
5+ years of experience in the design and manufacturing industry
