Be the trusted HR expert that managers rely on.

Are you passionate about employee relations and enjoy helping managers navigate complex people issues with confidence?

We're looking for an experienced HR Case Manager to join a successful, people-focused organisation. If you thrive on solving problems, coaching managers and finding practical, commercially balanced solutions, this could be the perfect next step in your HR career.

What does the role involve?

As an HR Case Manager, you'll become the go-to HR adviser for managers across the business.

You'll support them through a wide range of employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance cases, long-term absence, performance management, investigations and appeals, ensuring every case is handled fairly, consistently and in line with UK employment law.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. One day you could be supporting a manager through a complex investigation, the next you're coaching a leader on handling a difficult conversation or attending a formal hearing.

If you enjoy employee relations and making a genuine difference to both managers and employees, you'll love this opportunity.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing a varied portfolio of complex employee relations cases from start to finish.

  • Providing expert advice to managers on disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and performance issues.

  • Supporting managers with investigations, hearings and appeals, both remotely and face-to-face.

  • Coaching managers to build confidence and capability in handling people matters.

  • Reviewing investigation reports, formal correspondence and outcome letters.

  • Delivering pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.

  • Building strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across the business.

  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring service levels are consistently achieved.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality HR advisory service.

Requirements

About you

You'll already have experience managing complex employee relations cases and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can make a real impact.

You'll be confident building relationships, influencing managers and providing balanced, practical advice that supports both the business and its people.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience managing a broad range of complex employee relations cases.

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.

  • The ability to influence and challenge professionally.

  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Confidence working independently while remaining a collaborative team player.

  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills.

  • Ideally, CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience).

  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East.

What's on offer

  • Join a supportive, collaborative HR team where your expertise is genuinely valued.

  • Varied and interesting employee relations work with plenty of autonomy.

  • Hybrid and field-based working.

  • Excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression.

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

If you're an experienced HR professional who enjoys employee relations and wants to work in a role where you can make a real difference to managers and employees alike, we'd love to hear from you.
