Location: Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, and surrounding Portland Metro area
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Access Community Care is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated DSA LeadΒ to help lead our Daily Support Activities (DSA) program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading others, planning engaging community activities, and making a meaningful difference every day. As the DSA Lead, you will coordinate activities, mentor staff, transport participants, and ensure our program provides safe, person-centered, and enriching experiences that promote independence and community inclusion.

What You'll Do

Program Leadership

  • Lead and support the daily operations of the Daily Support Activities program.
  • Develop and maintain monthly activity calendars, schedules, itineraries, and community outings.
  • Coordinate engaging recreational, educational, volunteer, and community-based activities.
  • Ensure activities are meaningful, inclusive, person-centered, and aligned with participant goals.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and activity providers.
  • Assist with program planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Leadership & Staff Support

  • Mentor, coach, and support Daily Support Activities staff.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
  • Model best practices in participant support, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Provide guidance and support throughout daily program operations.

Direct Participant Support

  • Provide direct support to participants while promoting independence, choice, dignity, and community inclusion.
  • Assist participants with community access, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and skill-building experiences.
  • Support one-on-one participant needs as assigned.
  • Ensure participant rights, health, safety, and well-being at all times.

Transportation

  • Safely transport participants using agency vehicles, including passenger shuttle bus
  • Coordinate transportation logistics for community outings and activities.
  • Complete required vehicle inspections and transportation logs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized vehicle environment.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete accurate progress notes, transportation logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with agency policies, Medicaid requirements, and Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR).
  • Participate in required meetings, trainings, and continuing education.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support the success of the program.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be at least 25 years of age at the time of hire to meet commercial auto insurance requirements for operating agency shuttle buses.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance.
  • Eligible to drive agency vehicles, including passenger shuttle buses.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), with the ability to learn agency software.
  • Ability to complete required certifications and mandatory trainings.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and assist participants with transportation and community activities.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, recreation, event planning, or program coordination experience.
  • Experience coordinating community activities or leading group programs.
