Position Overview
As a Dining Services Associate, you'll support the daily dining experience for our residents through meal preparation, food and beverage service, sanitation, and customer service.
You'll work closely with the Dining Services team to ensure meals are served safely and according to each resident's dietary requirements, texture modifications, and preferences.
Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships with residents and help make mealtimes something they can look forward to.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve meals and beverages according to department procedures and resident dietary requirements
- Follow resident diet orders, texture and consistency modifications, and menu preferences
- Serve meals in resident dining areas according to seating charts and tray tickets
- Provide friendly, respectful, and attentive service to residents
- Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining areas
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and safety procedures
- Communicate appropriately with residents and families regarding meal service when needed
- Participate in department meetings, facility meetings, and required training
- Maintain reliable attendance and accurate electronic timekeeping
- Follow facility dress code and workplace policies
- Protect resident privacy and confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies

- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals
- Prior customer service experience
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
- Physical stamina necessary for constant activity
- HS diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desired
- This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
