About the Role

As part of Pagaya's data team, you will be the guardian of our production loan flows and the data streaming in from multiple partners and sources. The team is part of Pagaya's Research department, and its mission is to integrate, align, analyze, and extract data to serve decision-making processes across Pagaya. In this role you sit at the production monitoring process - continuously monitoring and predicting Pagaya’s issuance volume, safeguarding flow and data quality. Using and building automations and AI tooling that keeps our production engine running.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and predict issuance for each of Pagaya's lending partners, tracking key target metrics, and forecasting the impact on the flow.
  • Detect, investigate, and root-cause flow and data-quality anomalies and drive them to resolution.
  • Prepare on-demand data analysis and reports for Pagaya's various stakeholders, including management, using Python/SQL/other data analysis instruments.
  • Build automation and leverage AI tools (e.g., Cursor) to scale recurring monitoring, reporting, and investigation tasks..
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams - such as Partnerships, Research, Product, and Finance to integrate the insights as part of the monitoring process 
  • Gain wide knowledge of Pagaya's operational, business, and technological activities in order to add value and help create structured, scalable data processes.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science  or a related field, with an exceptional academic track record.
  • 2+ years in a data analyst / business analyst / production-monitoring role.
  • Python proficiency for data analysis and automation.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards, reports, and monitoring tools (Looker or similar BI tools).
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Cursor / LLM-based assistants) to accelerate analysis, automation, and problem-solving.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong habit of validating your own work end-to-end.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and communicate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Strong ownership, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, real-time production environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Very high level of English (verbal and written), including the ability to write and present articulated documentation and processes in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and get things done.
  • Ability to independently learn new subjects and understand the impact on the day to day of an existing organization.

  • Proven experience in financial data modeling & presentation.
  • Track record of building automation that reduced manual, repetitive work.
