About this role
We're looking for a sharp, creatively-driven Creative Director to own the visual execution of our client's Meta ad campaigns. You'll take approved scripts and turn them into detailed, conversion-focused visual direction documents that guide the editors and creators. You'll actively shape creative strategy, test new angles, and collaborate with copywriters, editors, and media buyers to scale winning ads.
Product category is flexible—health, beauty, pets, coffee, or DTC in general. What matters most is your experience with strong direct-response creative, VSLs, and translating scripts into effective visual directions.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate copywriter scripts (via Loom) into scene-by-scene visual direction documents—covering shot selection, B-roll, pacing, transitions, text overlays, hooks, and editing style.
- Direct talent, UGC creators, and AI avatars while selecting visuals that maximize conversion.
- Collaborate with editors, copywriters, and media buyers to iterate on creatives based on real performance data.
- Research competitor ads and test new hooks, angles, and formats while maintaining brand consistency.
- Coordinate integration of AI-generated B-roll and avatars into final ad creatives.
- Location: LATAM; EST-adjacent timezone ideal.
- Experience creating storyboards and visual direction documents for video ads.
- Background in video editing with a clear progression toward creative strategy.
- Experience with heavy direct-response / VSL brands (e.g., City Beauty, Furlife, Dr. Marty Pets, Emma, Javy Coffee, Crown Naturale, or similar).
- Some involvement in creative strategy—angle development, audience research, and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with visual production workflows and directing editors/creators.
- Ideal candidate: Creative Director, Creative Lead, or Senior Video Editor moving into a creative leadership role.
- USD salary.
- Bonus: $100 per winning ad (uncapped).
