Computer Animation Career Development Advisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to the Team Manager.
• Advises students/graduates in policies and procedures of the Career Development Department.
• Meets with students/graduates in Career Advisory Interviews.
• Educates and assists candidate graduates with career search practices, including portfolio reviews, presentation skills, conducting research, resume review, cover letter writing, developing telephone and interviewing skills, social media presence, industry etiquette and responsibilities.
• Coordinates graduate portfolios and resumes to appropriate employer leads.
• Documents all conversations (personal, phone, email, text, social media).
• Provides accurate statistical information for the yearly accreditation.
• Organizes and develops resources for industry research.
• Develops outreach practices to assist graduate networking.
• May attend industry-related events and presentations.
• Duties and assignments as assigned by Team Lead and Associate Director.

Education and/or Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of the Animation and 3D Arts industry is required.
• Some human resource experience is helpful.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: n/a

Computer/Equipment Skills:

• Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, DropBox, Zoom. Social Media and Discord knowledge is a plus.
• Mac OS proficiency preferred.

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands: 

Employee must work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
