Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and basic menu items.
  • Follow recipes, preparation methods, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Support the Chef de Partie during daily service, banquets, and events.
  • Keep the assigned workstation clean, organized, and ready for service.
  • Store, label, date, and rotate food items correctly.
  • Maintain food hygiene, HACCP, and health and safety standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any defects or concerns.
  • Minimize food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
  • Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  • Work cooperatively with the kitchen team and assist other sections when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience as a Commis III or in a similar kitchen role is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn.
