Location: Meadowcroft Care Home, Shoreham-on-Sea
Salary: £13.70 per hour + weekend enhancement
Hours: 24 - 36 hours per week (Nights) | 36 hours per week (Days)
Shift Pattern: 8am – 8pm (Days) 8pm–8am (Nights) | Alternate weekends

We’re looking for Day and Night Care Assistants to join our friendly team at Meadowcroft Care Home in Shoreham-on-Sea.

Meadowcroft is a small, 20-bed residential care home supporting older adults, including individuals living with dementia, as well as providing palliative and respite care.

About the role

As a Care Assistant, you’ll support our residents with their day-to-day care while promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.

Your role will include:

• Providing personal care and support
• Supporting with washing, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Supporting residents living with dementia
• Assisting with medication following appropriate training
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and reporting concerns
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting activities and helping residents enjoy daily life
• Completing accurate care records
• Working closely with colleagues, families and management
• Helping to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment

For our night Care Assistants, you’ll also carry out regular night checks and respond to residents’ needs throughout the night, helping everyone to feel safe and comfortable.

Calm and patient, particularly when supporting people living with dementia

Willing to learn and develop their care skills

Previous experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Carer or in a residential care setting is desirable, but it’s not essential. Full training and support will be provided.

• 139 - 208 hours annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata) depending on contracted hours
