Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an impactful, proactive AWS AI Engineer to join our AI engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, building, testing, and deploying high-impact GenAI solutions and autonomous AI agents on AWS. Working alongside senior AI engineers and architects, you will solve complex technical and business challenges, communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders, and drive end-to-end value delivery using the AWS stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI & Agent Development: Own the design and development of production-grade Generative AI applications and AI agents using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI.

  • Model & RAG Engineering: Help design and evaluate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt templates, and vector search integrations.

  • Machine Learning Ops: Support the end-to-end ML lifecycle on AWS, including data prep, model training, deployment, and performance monitoring.

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Write basic Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) and assist with CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads.

  • Responsible AI: Implement guardrails, data privacy, and security controls following AWS best practices and regulations (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act).

  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, platform teams, and clients. Communicate technical architectures, trade-offs, and solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2 - 3 years of professional experience in cloud software engineering (preferably AWS) and Python development, with a proven track record of solving real-world business problems.

  • AI/ML Fundamentals: Solid understanding of core GenAI concepts (LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases) and traditional machine learning.

  • AWS Familiarity: Foundational knowledge of AWS core services (S3, Lambda, IAM, API Gateway) and AWS AI services (Bedrock, SageMaker, Bedrock Agentcore).

  • Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch (French is a plus).

  • Problem-Solving & Ownership: Strong analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving, taking initiative, and taking full ownership of project deliverables from concept to production.

Nice to Have

  • AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AI Practitioner, or Solutions Architect Associate).

  • Experience with vector databases (OpenSearch, pgvector) or agent frameworks.

  • Personal projects or open-source contributions demonstrating AI applications.
