Assistant Manager (Media Analytics and Operations)

Participate in media monitoring, analysis, engagement, and management, to provide a better understanding of Singapore and its policies, and to connect people to community, government and opportunity, in support of MDDI's mission to engage hearts and minds.

As part of the MAOD team, you will be in charge of :

Media Sensing

• Collate and produce media analysis products by monitoring various media platforms including print, broadcast, online, and social media. The ability to read and analyse Malay-language media content is required for this role.
• Prepare analysis papers on topical issues and assessments of the media landscape and media coverage.

Media Ops and Facilitation

• Manage Duty Desk operations, including handling queries from government agencies and media.
• Participate in media management and operations for national events such as the National Day Rally and Elections.

Media Engagement and Cultivation

• Organise media engagement events such as journalist visit programmes.

Multi-Agency Collaboration

• Participate in multi-agency projects that require inter-agency coordination and involvement.

Ad-Hoc Projects

• Undertake any ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Director.

• Background in Communications or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Singapore's socio-political landscape and current affairs.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and Malay, as the role requires monitoring and analysing Malay-language media content and engaging with Malay-speaking stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to synthesise complex issues and diverse stakeholder considerations into clear and strategic analysis.
• Able to work well independently, take initiative, and be a strong team player.
• Able to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing priorities and situations.
