About this role
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients as per hospital policies and clinical protocols.
- Perform initial and ongoing assessment of patient condition and promptly report changes to the Nurse In-charge/Medical Officer.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living while maintaining dignity, privacy and comfort.
- Monitor vital signs, intake/output and other relevant clinical parameters.
- Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
- Ensure appropriate positioning, mobility and pressure injury prevention measures.
2. Medication & Treatment
- Administer medications safely as prescribed and in accordance with hospital medication-management policies.
- Follow medication safety principles, including correct patient, medication, dose, route and time.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and promptly escalate abnormalities.
- Assist physicians and senior nurses during procedures and treatments.
- Ensure appropriate preparation and handling of medications, equipment and clinical supplies.
3. Patient Safety
- Maintain compliance with patient identification and other patient safety protocols.
- Follow fall-prevention, pressure-injury prevention and other risk-reduction measures.
- Report incidents, near misses and changes in patient condition promptly.
- Maintain a safe and clutter-free patient-care environment.
- Follow escalation protocols for clinical deterioration and emergencies.
