Job Title: Staff Nurse
Department: Nursing / Clinical Services
Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Nurse In-charge / Matron
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients according to hospital protocols.
Monitor and record vital signs, patient condition, intake/output, and clinical observations.
Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.
Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and patient-safety procedures.
Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, admission, transfer, and discharge.
Educate patients and relatives regarding medications, treatment, diet, and follow-up care.
Maintain nursing equipment and ensure adequate supplies.
Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the doctor and senior nursing staff.
Participate in emergency response, CPR, and other hospital clinical activities.
Maintain patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
Valid nursing registration with the relevant State Nursing Council.
Relevant hospital/clinical experience preferred, depending on the position.
Skills:
Good clinical and communication skills.
Ability to work in shifts.
Teamwork and time management.
Basic computer/documentation skills.
Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure.
