Job Description

Sandisk is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist (Import / Export) with 3-5 years of experience in Global Trade Operations, customs operations, trade compliance executions and import/export processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of customs documentation, INCOTERMS, Restricted Party List and HTS classification procedures. Should be well versed with SAP and Oracle GTM. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of orders and clearance of goods through customs, minimizing delays, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and release transaction on system hold – Review and analysis the reason for holds and release Trade Transaction holds
  • Restricted Party Screening : Ensure all type of orders undergo Restricted Party Screening (RPL /DPL process) and maintain Track for Audit’s. Analyze the trade changes on RPL and define changes in Systems.
  • Customs Compliance: Ensure all import/export transactions are in compliance with local, national, and international customs regulations. This includes accurate Party Screening, tariff classifications, duties, taxes, and adhering to import/export requirements.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare, review, and submit all necessary customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing list, bill of lading, certificates of origin, and other relevant documents required for customs clearance.
  • Tariff Classification and Restricted Party List: Classify goods based on Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.
  • Coordination with Internal Departments: Liaise with internal teams, shipment requestors to facilitate the timely release of shipments and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the clearance process in ERP (SAP / GTM).
  • Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks or issues in shipments, customs documentation, or processes and take corrective actions to mitigate risk and avoid penalties or delays.
  • Import/Export Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline Logistics operations, reduce TAT, and improve efficiency in the supply chain.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with logistics, procurement, and business partners teams to ensure smooth movement of goods across borders and to resolve any customs-related issues that may arise.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Global Trade Operations, Restricted Party Screenings, Customs operations, import/export documentation and international trade.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Restricted Party Screening
    • Knowledge of INCOTERMS, Customs regulations, and compliance requirements.
    • Strong understanding of import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.
    • Proficiency in SAP and Oracle GTM ERPs.
    • Experience with the Harmonized System (HS) codes and classification of goods for customs purposes.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting Internally within Sandisk, External Vendors, Customs Authorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing documents and ensuring compliance with complex regulations.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
