Job Summary

Position : Observability Engineer – Grafana Job Description: Key Responsibilities Monitoring Strategy: Design and implement end-to-end observability for cloud-native and legacy telecom infrastructure using Hawkeye for network performance and synthetic monitoring. Grafana Visualization: Create advanced, multi-tenant Grafana dashboards that visualize KPIs such as network latency, call drop rates, system throughput, and error budgets (SLOs). Data Pipeline Management: Manage the ingestion of high-volume metrics, logs, and traces (using Prometheus, Loki, or Tempo) into unified reporting views. Reporting: Automate periodic performance reports for client stakeholders, focusing on capacity planning and trend analysis. Alert Engineering: Configure and tune intelligent alerting rules to minimize \"noise\" and ensure rapid incident response for Tier 1 telecom services. Collaboration: Work closely with SRE and Network Operations Centers (NOC) to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using observability data. Required Technical Skills Tooling: Deep expertise in Grafana (building complex panels, variables, and data source linking) and Hawkeye (network/service monitoring). Query Languages: Proficiency in PromQL, LogQL, or SQL for data extraction. Automation: Experience with Python or Bash for automating reporting tasks and Terraform for \"Monitoring as Code.\" Infrastructure: Solid understanding of Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
