As a Revenue Accounting Analyst II/III – Gathering & Processing, you will provide accounting expertise and mentorship while compiling, analyzing, and interpreting financial information that supports leadership decision-making. In this role, you will ensure compliance with accounting requirements and regulatory standards, serve as a resource for internal and external stakeholders, and identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology and automation. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex business and accounting challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, variance analysis, and SEC reporting support.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, annual, and invoice-closing processes.

  • Prepare and maintain schedules, reports, analyses, and supporting documentation for internal and external customers.

  • Prepare and maintain deferred revenue schedules and analyze revenue activity, volumes, trends, and variances.

  • Process, reconcile, and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.

  • Identify and implement process improvements through automation, technology, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in projects and serve as a resource to less experienced team members.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve business outcomes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Revenue Accounting Analyst II

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong accounting focus.

  • Minimum two (2) years of accounting experience.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Revenue Accounting Analyst III

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong accounting focus.

  • Minimum four (4) years of accounting experience.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

  • Experience in revenue accounting or in the energy industry.

  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with Oracle and/or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).

Additional Information

  • Ability to work overtime during critical monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting cycles as needed.

  • Ability to promote effective collaboration and communication across departments and business functions.
