Join our Wellbeing Team

We are looking for a warm, organised and proactive Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at Broughton Sanctuary.

Our five-star wellbeing centre welcomes Sanctuary guests alongside a programme of exceptional retreats, workshops, concerts, classes and visiting practitioners.

Working closely alongside the Wellbeing Operations Lead, you will help ensure the wellbeing centre runs smoothly day to day and that our guests, practitioners and retreat facilitators receive a warm, professional and seamless experience.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining hospitality, administration, guest experience, retreat support and day-to-day building operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Welcoming and looking after guests, retreat participants and visiting practitioners.
  • Answering the phone, responding to emails and dealing with day-to-day enquiries.
  • Managing bookings and guest information through our booking and back-office systems.
  • Maintaining the wellbeing and practitioner databases.
  • Acting as a link between practitioners and guests, helping with bookings, communications and practical arrangements.
  • Supporting retreat facilitators and practitioners on the ground during retreats, workshops and events.
  • Helping set up and prepare rooms and spaces for yoga, Pilates, workshops, concerts, retreats and other activities.
  • Supporting the wellbeing schedule and helping guests access classes and experiences.
  • Supporting the wellbeing shop, including guest engagement, sales and identifying interesting new wellbeing products.
  • Carrying out daily building, presentation and health & safety checks, including fire safety checks.
  • Supporting opening and closing procedures, emergency procedures and clear team handovers.
  • Reporting maintenance, safety or operational issues promptly.
  • Helping maintain the wellbeing centre to the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness and readiness.
  • Supporting the Wellbeing Operations Lead with the day-to-day running of the centre and wider operational tasks.
  • Bringing ideas and enthusiasm to help continually improve the guest experience and wellbeing offering.

You will be:

  • Warm, friendly and naturally hospitable.
  • Organised, reliable and proactive.
  • Confident using computers, email, databases and booking systems.
  • Comfortable answering the phone and communicating professionally with guests and practitioners.
  • Practical and hands-on, with a “see it, sort it” attitude.
  • Calm and capable when things get busy.
  • Passionate about and knowledgeable in the wellbeing, wellness and holistic world.
  • Genuinely interested in yoga, meditation, movement, retreats, holistic practices and personal wellbeing.
  • Curious about new developments, practitioners, products and experiences within the wellness industry.
  • Happy to take responsibility for making sure things are done properly.
  • A positive team player who enjoys working alongside others.

A yoga, Pilates or other wellbeing qualification would be a real advantage. Where appropriately qualified, there may be opportunities to teach within our wellbeing schedule.

Previous experience in hospitality, wellness, retreats, events, administration or guest services would also be beneficial.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a unique, high-end wellbeing environment and gain experience across hospitality, wellness, retreats, events and operations.

You will work closely with exceptional practitioners and retreat facilitators and alongside the Wellbeing Operations Lead, giving you the opportunity to learn, develop and contribute your own ideas.

  • Annual discretionary bonus
  • Pension contribution
  • Free access to Sanctuary Wellbeing Schedule
