- Produce metal parts to defined specifications by operating various types of metal cutting, forming and finishing machines - Welder: operate welding torch to bond sheet metal parts together.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG) and material properties.
- Reading technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine specifications.
- Check accuracy of parts produced with measuring instruments and visual checks.
- Record timing in production order when jobs done.
- Maintain and clean his tools and work area.
