About the Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the delivery of election equipment, supplies, and materials to Vote Center sites across Maricopa County. This role oversees all aspects of inventory management, warehousing operations, and the internal distribution of materials within the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center (MCTEC) and the Recorder’s Office. Key responsibilities include managing warehouse operations, coordinating logistics, supervising and training team members, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, overseeing material handling, and optimizing space utilization. The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and secure deployment of election resources to support successful elections.

We Require

  • Four (4) years of material handling and inventory control experience in a warehouse or commercial operation where a wide variety of materials, fittings, tools, supplies, and equipment are dispensed
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered in substitution for the minimum qualifications

Other Requirements

  • Must complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification 
  • Must successfully complete a background screening 
  • Must be eligible to vote in Arizona 
  • Must possess, or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid Arizona Driver's License
  • Must achieve a Forklift and Hazardous Materials Certification
  • Must attend CPR/AED and First Aid training
  • Mandatory overtime is required during all election cycles

We Also Value

  • Elections experience preferred
  • Associate’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • Two (2) years of experience managing a warehouse and/or logistics operation

Job Contributions

  • Coordinates and oversees the delivery and pickup of election materials and equipment to various locations, including early voting sites and government offices
  • Plans and manages all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory control and workflow coordination
  • Supports a safe, efficient, and positive work environment by assisting with staff training, supervising daily activities, and managing performance through effective communication and documentation
  • Contributes to the development and oversight of the warehouse operating budget
  • Inspects facility conditions regularly and initiates maintenance work orders as needed to ensure operational readiness
  • Maintains accurate records and prepares reports related to equipment maintenance and safety inspections
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, DOT, and other applicable labor and safety laws
  • Manages mail and supply deliveries between offices

Working Conditions

  • Requires daily repetitive manual lifting and moving of election equipment 
  • Requires the ability to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 40 pounds and carry for 100 feet and the ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds for 200 feet
  • Work environment may be outdoors in high temperatures or indoors in a warehouse setting
