JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS:

· Will remove material from stock working from order cut schedules and written instructions; spooling and cutting finished cables to length per customer needs.

· Visually inspects cable for damages and/or short lengths advising supervision of any deficiency.

· Will be responsible to aide in the packaging and lagging of reels in preparation for shipping.

At times will be required to aid in loading truck or be a spotter during loading.

· Will perform preventive maintenance procedures, 6S activities and participate in continuous improvement events.

· Must always maintain work area in a safe and orderly condition.

· Ensure all products meet requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems.

· Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.

· Will be required to work overtime as needed.

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.

Requirements:

Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.

Experience:

· Some manufacturing experience or proven/demonstrated mechanical ability.

· Must complete on job training (OJT) for specific job classification as required in a timely manner.

Skills/Attributes:

· Must be able to use pneumatic tools, such as air nail guns and hand drills.

· Must be able to train for forklift licensed or certification.

· Must be able to work independently according to verbal and written instructions.

· Must learn basic computer transactions and inputs; must have ability to become certified SAP User.

· Must have basic math and communication skills. Must develop and maintain proficiency in required job skills.

· Must be capable of lifting or moving 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting or moving 75 lbs.

· Must be able to distinguish different colors

Wage Range: $20.88 to $24.66
