Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 12.5%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 12.5%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

The VP, Senior Data Scientist – Marketing Intelligence serves as a strategic partner to Enterprise Marketing Strategy and business leaders, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, experimentation, and AI-assisted tools to drive customer growth and business performance. This role develops predictive and prescriptive models, translates complex business challenges into analytical solutions, and delivers actionable insights that improve acquisition, engagement, retention, cross-sell, and marketing ROI. Success requires strong modeling expertise, business acumen, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Marketing and business leaders to identify opportunities for predictive analytics, customer intelligence, and experimentation
  • Design, develop, and validate predictive and prescriptive models including propensity, lead scoring, churn, customer lifetime value, segmentation, recommendation, and next-best-action models
  • Translate business questions into analytical frameworks, hypotheses, success metrics, and actionable recommendations
  • Utilize Databricks and approved AI-assisted tools to accelerate data science workflows while maintaining strong analytical oversight and model governance
  • Design and evaluate A/B tests, test/control methodologies, uplift models, and causal measurement frameworks
  • Analyze customer behavior and marketing performance to identify growth opportunities and improve targeting, conversion, retention, and ROI
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics, Data Engineering, Enterprise Data, and AI/ML Engineering teams to build scalable datasets, features, and production-ready analytical solutions
  • Communicate insights, recommendations, risks, and financial impact to business stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Establish best practices for modeling, validation, experimentation, and AI-assisted analytics
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, governance, fairness, explainability, and responsible AI standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field; Master’s degree or PhD preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, predictive analytics, advanced analytics, or a related field
  • Demonstrated success delivering predictive or analytical solutions that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Deep expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, predictive analytics, experimentation, causal inference, uplift modeling, and model evaluation
  • Experience developing customer-focused models, including propensity, lead scoring, segmentation, churn, customer lifetime value, personalization, recommendation, and next-best-action models
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to review, validate, troubleshoot, and enhance AI-generated analytical solutions
  • Experience with large customer, transactional, behavioral, CRM, digital, marketing, or third-party datasets
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark/PySpark, MLflow, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, lakehouse architectures, or similar modern data platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics and development tools, including Databricks Genie Code, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable technologies
  • Strong understanding of model governance, reproducibility, testing, monitoring, documentation, and responsible AI practices
  • Experience applying analytics to customer acquisition, marketing, customer intelligence, sales, growth, retention, or related business functions
  • Financial services, fintech, lending, insurance, or other regulated-industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytical results to customer, operational, and financial outcomes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience translating complex analytics into actionable business recommendations
  • Experience presenting analytical insights and business impact to senior leadership and executive audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with strong analytical judgment, intellectual curiosity, and ownership
