VP, Buy Side Trading Production Services Application Support

We're seeking a VP, Buy Side Trading Production Services Application Support professional to join our BTS Production Services team in Singapore.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Front-to-back trading technology leadership: Partner closely with Fixed Income, Equities, and FX trading desks, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to deliver stable, resilient, and high-performing trading technology platforms across all asset classes.

• Operational discipline and risk reduction: Strengthen incident, problem, change, audit, and escalation management processes to reduce operational risk, improve controls, minimize recurring issues, and ensure platform stability across global trading environments.

• Stakeholder engagement and influence: Build trusted relationships with front office trading, sales, compliance, operations, technology teams, and external vendors, acting as a key liaison for business-critical trading services and strategic initiatives.

• End-to-end ownership and execution: Demonstrate a strong ownership mindset by driving issues, initiatives, client onboarding activities, platform enhancements, and remediation efforts through to successful completion with accountability and urgency.

• Automation, AI, and observability focus: Champion an automation-first culture by leveraging AI, monitoring, observability, and intelligent tooling to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, improve productivity, and enable proactive support models.

• Service reliability and production excellence: Provide governance and oversight for the production environment, ensuring high availability, rapid recovery, effective change management, and continuous improvement of trading platforms and workflows.

• Continuous improvement and engineering partnership: Identify systemic issues and drive sustainable solutions through automation, process simplification, platform enhancements, and close collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.

• Trading workflow and domain expertise: Develop deep understanding of buy-side trading workflows across pricing, order execution, trade capture, securities maintenance, broker connectivity, trade processing, and straight-through processing ecosystems.

• Global support model leadership: Collaborate within a fast-paced global organization supporting business operations across the US, EMEA, and APAC regions, ensuring effective follow-the-sun coverage and seamless operational execution.

• Proactive monitoring and operational readiness: Enhance visibility into trading systems through proactive monitoring, alerting, batch management, client onboarding, broker conformance testing, and technology lifecycle management activities.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• 7+ years of production services experience supporting mission-critical applications within financial services, electronic trading, capital markets, or equivalent high-availability environments.

• Strong knowledge of buy-side trading platforms including Bloomberg (FIT, EMSX, TSOX, TOMS), Tradeweb, MarketAxess, FlexTrade, FX Connect, FXALL, and related trading ecosystems.

• Understanding of Fixed Income, Equity, and FX trading workflows, including RFQ-based OTC products, electronic trading platforms, broker connectivity, execution management, and trade lifecycle processes.

• Broad asset class expertise across Corporate Bonds, Municipals, Rates, Mortgages, Swaps, Futures, Commercial Paper, Certificates of Deposit, Equities, Foreign Exchange, and related derivative products.

• Demonstrated experience in incident, problem, and change management, delivering measurable improvements in platform stability, operational effectiveness, and service recovery performance.

• Automation-first and AI-enabled mindset, with experience leveraging scripting, DevOps, observability, monitoring, and workflow automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce operational effort.

• Strong technical knowledge across enterprise production environments, including Windows, Linux, Cloud technologies, REST APIs, Web Services, Kafka, MQ, middleware platforms, and distributed systems.

• Hands-on programming and scripting experience with Python, Shell Scripting, Java, and related technologies to support automation, troubleshooting, operational tooling, and platform enhancements.

• Experience supporting monitoring and observability platforms such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Moogsoft, ThousandEyes, Prometheus, Ansible, Selenium, and similar technologies.

• Working knowledge of SQL databases, data warehouse applications, networking concepts, batch processing, and scheduling solutions such as ESP, AutoSys, and Control-M.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail, a high sense of urgency, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic, business-critical environments.

• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across front office trading, operations, compliance, technology, and external vendors to drive outcomes and maintain service excellence.

• Experience participating in Disaster Recovery exercises, platform resiliency testing, and operational readiness initiatives supporting critical business services.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Willingness to participate in rotational shift, weekend, and global support coverage models supporting 24x5 business operations.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience supporting EMS, OMS, pricing engines, algorithmic trading platforms, liquidity aggregation platforms, and electronic execution technologies.

• Strong understanding of FX Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, Rates products, and associated trading workflows.

• Experience with cloud-native technologies, AI-enabled operational platforms, observability frameworks, and modern site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.

• Familiarity with FIX Protocol, market data feeds, broker connectivity, liquidity provider integrations, and electronic trading infrastructures.

• Experience supporting large-scale buy-side trading organizations with global multi-asset-class operations.

• Exposure to AI-assisted troubleshooting, predictive monitoring, automated remediation, and intelligent operational analytics solutions.
