Position Summary

This faculty position is situated within an outcomes-driven that prepares students for entry into undergraduate study. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong, scholarly-informed teaching in English language instruction, a clear commitment to student progression, and the ability to operate effectively within a structured, multi-section academic environment.
The role requires disciplined course delivery, alignment with shared curricula and assessments, and the consistent use of evidence-based instructional practices. Faculty are expected to teach integrated language skills, monitor student learning closely, and ensure that students meet defined progression standards for entry into degree programs. 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Teach undergraduate English Foundation Program courses 
• Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans, materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards
• Provide mentorship and academic advising to students
• Support student success through active engagement and timely feedback
• Collaborate with full-time faculty in curriculum development and program enhancement
• Contribute to the intellectual and cultural growth of AIU’s academic community

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent communication and instructional skills in English (language of instruction is English)
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student achievement
• Ability to engage students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems

Education and Experience

Candidates must have:

• Master’s degree or higher in English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field required
• University-level teaching experience required
• Industry experience or familiarity with academic preparation programs preferred
