Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Vice President to work in our growing health practice, which is experiencing significant expansion. The ideal candidate will be deeply passionate about the health sector and bring 10+ years of health expertise, including developing and leading strategic programs reaching consumers, healthcare providers, policy makers and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience leading earned media programs across integrated teams, with proven ability to tell client stories in authentic and creative ways. Experience with authentic patient storytelling programs is a strong plus.

 

You’ll work collaboratively across the agency (U.S. and global), including five practice groups (corporate, technology, health, consumer, and marketing-with multiple centers of excellence and 50 markets, to build strong, mutually trusting relationships with your colleagues and our clients. We look to this group to ensure excellence in media strategy, innovative storytelling, and coaching and mentoring of junior and mid-level staff.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead integrated, strategic programs for health clients, connecting earned, influencer/creator, social, digital and other channels to deliver against a unified strategy and execution.
  • Serve as strategic lead and senior day-to-day client contact, as a true thought partner. Provide counsel on integrated strategies, messaging, planning and execution, creative elements, and measurement.  
  • Primarily responsible for overall client health and success. Ability to anticipate client needs, challenges and issues and develop strategic plans to address and support their continued success.  
  • Responsible for financial and budget oversight on accounts including utilization, and staffing requirements. May participate in contract negotiations.
  • Evaluate client needs regularly and identify opportunities to grow the business, selling in agency’s broader offerings.  
  • Outline roles and responsibilities for the account teams and re-evaluate on an ongoing basis.  
  • Responsible for ongoing training and development of junior staff and supervision of mid-level employees.
  • Lead new business initiatives.   
  • Active participation in practice, office or department operations and growth.  
  • Promote and uphold Allison Worldwide core values; participate in agency-wide training and professional development programs.

Qualifications

  • Requires prior experience as a senior director in public relations, marketing or a related field. Vice-Presidents at Allison Worldwide typically have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • This role may be based in any Allison U.S. office. Candidates based on the East Coast must be able to consistently work hours aligned with West Coast-based clients and teams.
  • A strong understanding of the healthcare industry.
  • Experience working with leading health and biotech clients a must.
  • Integrated marketing experience, including working within IAT (interagency teams), with demonstrated ability to lead integrated business and bring multiple disciplines together around client objectives.
  • Ability to manage integrated teams; experience with patient storytelling and programs that elevate authentic patient voices is a strong plus.
  • Impeccable client service skills and experience with working with high-touch clients or individuals in challenging business situations.
  • Experience in team/account management, as well as direct management preferred.
  • Proven large program management capabilities and the ability to work autonomously and as a part of collaborative teams across geographies.

Compensation

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $113K-$170K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
