What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeries
  • Safely handle and restrain patients using appropriate techniques
  • Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples
  • Place IV catheters and support fluid therapy
  • Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout procedures
  • Provide attentive post-operative monitoring and recovery care
  • Assist with laboratory diagnostics and other clinical procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care to patients throughout their visit
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding patient care and veterinary recommendations
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
  • Collaborate with doctors and teammates to maintain an efficient hospital workflow

What You’ll Bring

  • Registered Veterinary Technician credentials or significant hands-on Veterinary Assistant experience
  • Strong patient handling and restraint skills
  • Confidence performing blood draws and IV catheter placement
  • Experience preparing, monitoring, and recovering surgical patients
  • Strong client communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced veterinary environment
