Position Summary

In this role, you will assemble, test, and support the automation of valve and flow control products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence. Working within our Isolation Valves team, you will contribute to the delivery of innovative flow control solutions, collaborate with skilled colleagues, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic workshop environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Assemble, inspect, and test manual valves, automated valves, actuators, positioners, and other flow control equipment.
- Interpret drawings, quality plans, work instructions, and technical documentation to determine correct assembly and testing procedures.
- Operate workshop equipment and tools safely and effectively, including testing equipment, drills, cranes, and other assembly-related machinery.
- Perform product evaluations, troubleshooting, and reporting to identify and resolve quality or operational issues.
- Select, verify, and manage components and materials required for assembly and testing activities.
- Support inventory accuracy by following established stock issuance and storage procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time reporting and quality documentation.
- Contribute to a safe, organised, and productive workplace through housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and adherence to environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Participate in daily planning meetings, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with team members and escalate issues promptly to ensure customer and business expectations are achieved.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Experience in mechanical assembly, repair, refurbishment, or testing of industrial equipment, valves, or related mechanical systems.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Reliable organisational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Trade qualification in a mechanical or related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience working with flow control products, valves, actuators, or process industry equipment.
- Familiarity with quality assurance systems, procedures, and documentation.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise systems.
- Forklift licence, First Aid certification, dogging certification/VOC, or other relevant workshop certifications.
- Experience working in manufacturing, service, maintenance, or industrial workshop environments.
