About this role
Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Role summary:The Director, Product Operations builds the foundational operating motions that let International Product move with speed and consistency at scale. As Director, you'll own governance, common definitions, and the standards, cadences, and decision forums that make execution predictable across markets. You'll centrally coordinate with Global Product Areas while partnering closely with Market Product Ops, who execute these standards in-market. This role doesn't own the product roadmap or manage engineering delivery — it owns the operating infrastructure that makes roadmap delivery and engineering execution faster and more consistent everywhere they happen.
About the team:
Join Walmart’s International Product Organization, where strategic market insights guide global product capabilities to foster growth across Walmart International. The team delivers a unified perspective on market needs, identifies scalable opportunities, and shapes the international product agenda to ensure global platforms provide measurable local value. Focused on leadership, clear communication, and collaboration, the team operates at the intersection of strategy and product development. Members connect customer insights with business strategies and lead cross-functional initiatives to deliver impactful product solutions that contribute to Walmart’s global success.
What you'll do:
- Own Planning; facilitate annual and quarterly planning for Intl Product, standardizing templates and timelines, coordinating with global product areas and finance on budgeting
- Own Tooling; represent Intl requirements for AIPD tooling, coordinating execution that supports planning cadences
- Own Execution & Visibility; run operating mechanisms and decision forums, define ways of working across Global Product Areas and International Product, and maintain reporting mechanisms and cross-market playbooks
- Own Org Health; drive comms, cadences, and training/upskilling that support team health and capability across markets and timezones
What you'll bring:
- Track record designing and running operating cadences, governance forums, and planning processes across a multi-market or multi-function organization
- Strong cross-functional influence skills — comfortable driving consistency across Global Product Areas and market teams without owning their delivery
- Experience partnering with Finance on budgeting and planning cycles, and with tooling/systems teams on requirements representation
- Program and process design discipline — able to build scalable standards and playbooks rather than one-off fixes
- Comfort operating centrally in a hub-and-spoke model, with judgment on when to standardize vs. when to defer to local execution
