Job Description

We're looking for a friendly and professional UPG Counter Sales Associate to join our team in Madison WI, United States. In this role, you will be the face of our organization, delivering exceptional customer service while processing sales transactions and providing product expertise to our valued customers. You will work in a fast-paced counter environment, managing customer interactions with efficiency and professionalism while maintaining a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.

• Process customer transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems while maintaining efficient workflow
• Provide knowledgeable product recommendations and assistance to customers at the counter
• Handle card payments, and other payment methods with accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintain organized inventory displays and assist with stock management as needed
• Answer customer inquiries professionally and resolve concerns with a customer-focused approach
• Build positive customer relationships through friendly and courteous interactions
• Support the sales team by identifying customer needs and suggesting relevant products
• Ensure the counter area remains clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
• Follow company policies and procedures consistently
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting colleagues when needed

Qualifications

• Proven customer service experience in a retail or counter sales environment
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
• Strong mathematical abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing
• Professional demeanor with a friendly and approachable attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks as required
• Preferred: Previous sales experience or product knowledge in relevant industry
• Preferred: Bilingual capabilities
• Preferred: Experience with inventory management systems
