Here at IDS (a Revvity company) we are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office weekly and 2 working from home.

Job Purpose

To lead the financial reporting and control activities of the UK business operations, ensuring accurate financial accounting and management, regulatory compliance, and support for commercial decision-making.

Principal Accountabilities

Month-end:

• Produce month-end accounts for 2 entities (IDS Limited and IDS Holdings) within a 2-day reporting deadline

• Calculate and post journals including fixed assets, royalties and VAT

• Review journals such as accruals, prepayments, payroll, bad debt

• Complete and/or review balance sheet reconciliations

• Prepare and review management accounts

Manufacturing:

• Execute standard cost updates for BOM, labour and overhead rates

• Analyze manufacturing variances (PPV, scrap/waste, absorption)

• Oversee UK stock - stock control and stock provisioning

VAT:

• Manage UK group VAT registration (2 entities)

• Manage German VAT registration (IDS Ltd)

• Perform monthly VAT calculations, journals and reconciliations

• Submit VAT returns

Tax:

• Perform quarterly tax dashboards for the UK entities (Group reporting requirement)

• Work closely with Deloitte on annual tax computations

Others:

• Approve bank payments

• Track capex spend

• Manage the external audits (Azets)

• Support FP&A with annual budget process

• Understand royalty agreements and perform and/or review calculations

• Offer Finance support to the UK site as required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Qualifications:

Qualified Accountant ACCA / CIMA or equivalent

Skills & Knowledge:

• Understanding of stock/manufacturing costing methods

• Logical analysis and good problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work well in a team

• Satisfactory Excel skills

• Strong mathematical ability

• Ability to maintain controls

Experience:

Strong manufacturing industry experience in production/stock accounting; ERP variance analysis experience advantageous.
