About this role

Overview

BerryDunn is seeking a Training Business Analyst (BA) to support training, teambuilding, and leadership development initiatives, with supporting client work for a State Health and Human Services (HHS) agency.  The Training Business Analyst supports organizational change, workforce development, business transformation, compliance initiatives, and system modernization efforts through a combination of training analysis, learning program coordination, business process evaluation, and data-driven decision making. This role focuses on assessing training needs, analyzing workforce readiness, evaluating operational performance, and designing practical learning solutions that support evolving business processes, regulatory requirements, and technology implementations.

The Training Business Analyst works closely with state and territory leadership, program staff, business owners, project teams, organizational change management leads, trainers, and system implementation teams to ensure training efforts are aligned, effective, sustainable, and informed by operational and performance data.

The candidate filling this position can be located remotely, however, the preferred location is Kapolei, Hawaii, or the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Working Hawaii Standard Time (HST) is a requirement.

 

Travel Expectations: Travel to client sites can reach up to 50% in a year.

You Will

  • Design and coordinate facilitated workshops, working sessions, and training programs supporting project management, change management, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Support development and delivery of teambuilding activities that strengthen communication, trust, and coordination
  • Assist with management and organization of training materials, participant guides, and facilitator resources
  • Coordinate with project teams and vendors to ensure training activities are integrated with active projects and change efforts
  • Adapt training materials and delivery approaches to align with operational context, timelines, and workforce needs
  • Support development of practical recommendations to improve business processes, strengthen compliance, and support system modernization
  • Coordinate with systems design, organizational change management, training, and project leadership teams to promote alignment across workstreams
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify misalignment between current-state operations, federal requirements, business processes, and system capabilities
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to support process improvement and modernization initiatives.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, data flows, and system interactions.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in validating requirements, testing outcomes, and measuring performance improvements.

You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, education, public administration, data analytics or related field
  • Experience supporting training, workforce development, or organizational change initiatives
  • Experience developing training materials such as participant guides and trainer guides
  • Experience working in public sector or healthcare environments preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendors
  • Experience conducting data analysis, business process analysis, or systems analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience gathering, organizing, and interpreting large data sets.
  • Knowledge of business process mapping and workflow analysis methodologies.
  • Proficiency with reporting, visualization, and analytical tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $75,000–$95,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
