Job Summary
The Trainee Nurse is responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of senior nursing staff while gaining practical clinical experience. Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Assist in delivering quality nursing care to patients under supervision.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Support patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, feeding, and comfort measures.
- Observe patient conditions and promptly report abnormalities to the concerned nursing staff.
Clinical Support
- Assist in administering medications and treatments as directed by registered nurses.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of patient care areas.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
Documentation & Records
- Maintain accurate nursing records and patient-related documentation.
- Update patient information in hospital systems as per established protocols.
- Assist in preparing reports and maintaining ward registers.
Infection Control & Safety
- Follow all infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Adhere to patient safety and quality standards.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
- Comply with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and statutory requirements.
Learning & Development
- Participate actively in orientation programs, in-service education, and clinical training sessions.
- Develop competencies in nursing procedures and patient care standards.
- Seek guidance from senior nurses and educators to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Freshers are eligible to apply.
