Job Summary
This role is accountable for the oversight and continuous enhancement of SAP BASIS and SAP HANA operations in large-scale environments. The individual drives operational excellence by ensuring robust system performance, championing process innovation, and leading teams to meet client service levels. They play a pivotal part in aligning technical operations with business goals, empowering teams, and fostering an environment of proactive problem-solving and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead SAP BASIS and SAP HANA operations by managing system performance, availability, and reliability using SAP Solution Manager and advanced monitoring tools, ensuring compliance with client SLAs and organizational standards.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational metrics, implementing automation using SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) or similar tools, and optimizing support processes for efficiency and quality.
3. Oversee complex incident, problem, and change management activities within SAP BASIS and HANA environments, utilizing tools such as SAP HANA Cockpit and SAP EarlyWatch Alert to proactively resolve issues and minimize downtime.
4. Mentor and guide the SAP support team in advanced BASIS and HANA administration tasks, empowering team members through knowledge sharing and technical coaching.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, translating them into actionable SAP operational solutions that leverage SAP HANAâs advanced features for business impact.
6. Evaluate, recommend, and implement innovative technologies and methodologies, such as SAP HANA system replication and high availability setups, to enhance system stability and support organizational growth.
7. Ensure robust backup, recovery, and security protocols for SAP platforms, utilizing SAP HANA Studio and SAP Security tools to safeguard data integrity and compliance.
