About this role

Overview

The USU Eastern Campus in Price is accepting applications for a Testing Center Proctor. This position will be paid an hourly wage and is non-benefited. The successful applicant must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work evening and/or late night hours (until 8:30 pm). Under direct supervision, the proctor will assist the Testing Coordinator in the day-to-day operations, coordination, and management of the Testing Center, including proctoring exams and quizzes. Must have the ability to work without immediate supervision and must be able to multitask while having the knowledge needed to give many exams.All Holidays off and reduced hours between semesters. The job entails interacting with students, faculty and community members with all aspects of the testing process. Attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the security of exams and records and provides students with a quiet, non-stressful atmosphere to take exams.
  • Acts as a liaison between students, Instructors, and University Administrators.
  • Assists with telephone calls, inquiries, files, appointments, and data entry.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Light cleaning and disinfecting will be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to candidate with experience or a college education.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions (such as typing).
