Test Automation Engineer

Job Overview: We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Test Automation Engineer to join our client's QA team and contribute to the quality, reliability, and scalability of their e-commerce services. The QA team is responsible for ensuring the quality of our services and works in a global environment where members have the opportunity to work on large-scale e-commerce services and develop their technical and professional skills. As their services continue to expand and serve millions of users, maintaining high quality is essential. The successful candidate will play an important role in building and improving test automation architecture to support reliable and scalable services. Position Details: Work closely with test engineers and development teams to define and improve the test automation architecture Test automation architecture design/operation Design and operate original test automation framework Design and operate CI/CD environment Assign and review tasks to team members (including outsourced members) Design test automation scripts for UI, API, and web applications Implementation of test automation scripts Operation of test automation tools Verification and Analysis of test results Test result reporting Requirements What we are looking for: Over 3 years of experience in test automation development / implementation Any language is fine, but having experience of using some testing middleware or framework is required (ex; Junit / Test::Unit / unittest / Selenium / Cypress) Backend knowledge + application testing experience Experience in developing / designing / implementing UI & API tests Can read Japanese documents and communicate in Japanese Desired Qualifications: Test planning / design / implementation experience Internet Service Industry knowledge and experience ISTQB foundation level knowledge e-Commerce domain knowledge Service-Oriented Soft Skills: Proactively involves others in order to solve problems or improve the situation. Having inquiring mind for various issues/items. Having passion to learn continuously in a fast-moving environment. Must be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders as well as other QA team members. Willing to tackle new challenges and drive improvements, NOT satisfied with the status quo and routine work. A good team-worker who promotes team-working culture within and outside of the team. Additional information on Qualification: Business proficiency in English and Japanese is must.
