Temporary Incoming Materials Inspection Technician

The Temporary Incoming Inspection Technician assists in the receipt & initial quality inspection of PacStar inventory. You will work with the Incoming Materials Inspection team to ensure the highest quality of incoming inventory

Location:  Portland, OR - Onsite

Your Challenge:

• Perform mechanical inspection for defects
• Works within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials
• Testing of electrical and data cables
• Document and maintain first article archive
• Work within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials
• Inspection and evaluation of first-articles
• Record non-conforming materials
• Report inspection findings and vendor source information to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team
• Present quality status to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team
• Participate in the MRB Program
• Know, practice, and be an advocate of all site safety rules and regulations
• Performance requires physical attendance
• Performance requires extended hours and occasional weekend work.
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring:

• 3-5+ years Quality Control experience, required
• Experience with Keyence inspection systems or CMM is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to meet and maintain high quality standards for incoming materials
• Experience with relevant AS9100, ISO, Six Sigma and MIL standards for quality control is a plus
• Experience with simple mechanical inspection is required
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is required
• Experience with measurement and inspection tools is required
• Proficient with MS Office
• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds at least 40 feet
• Ability to multi-task and manage various project related duties
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to type a minimum of 25 to 30 WPM
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
• Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlines
