A Day in the Life

A Day in The Life Of:

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Perform a variety of duties in the Electronic, Mechanical, Electromechanical and/or Optical areas
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, devices, or systems
• Develops Engineering solutions using DMAIC mythology in a COS environment
• Works from schematics, Engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed I.T. format
• Performs calibration and alignment checks, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions
• Provide technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, IT, and product development
• Responsible for the installation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of on-line process equipment and for the preparation, maintenance, and control of appropriate documentation outlining product processing work steps
• Provide technical support to Lean Sigma initiatives/continuous improvement projects or other task/project teams as required
• Assist with Engineering and Manufacturing training
• Support and participate in corrective/preventive action procedures and support the collection and trending of product line metrics

 

Key Skills & Experience

• We are looking for a qualified person with minimum Level 6 degree in a relevant discipline

• Ability to demonstrate Medtronic traits in their work and good presentation skills are desirable

• A dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional team

• A good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speak

• Experienced with computer literacy and team dynamic skills

• Knowledge of statistical tools is an advantage

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
