Job Description

The Test Process Technician 3 independently supports daily PN Test manufacturing operations by performing test head activities, software troubleshooting, software deployment support, process and equipment qualification activities, and technical support to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Test Head Operations

  1. Perform test head setup, deployment, handling, inspection, and qualification activities in accordance with engineering requirements and procedures.
  2. Conduct test head condition assessments and assist in failure analysis and defect investigations.
  3. Maintain test head inventory records, tracking, and movement coordination to support production and engineering requirements.
  4. Coordinate test head repair logistics and maintain accurate repair status documentation.
  5. Perform microscope inspections for contamination assessment, defect identification, and test head condition verification.
  6. Monitor test head performance and report abnormalities to engineering for disposition and corrective actions.

Glide, TDS & Software Support

  1. Support Glide and TDS activities, including specification reviews, process monitoring, rescreen execution, and data collection.
  2. Perform software troubleshooting for testers, robots, Test Cell Controllers.
  3. Diagnose software-related failures, configuration issues, and system faults, and implement corrective actions within established procedures.
  4. Support Test Cell Controller setup, recipe configuration, and parameter verification for production and engineering lots.
  5. Escalate complex software and system issues to engineering teams for further analysis and resolution.
  6. Assist in validating software fixes, patches, and updates prior to production deployment.
  7. Maintain accurate records of software issues, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.

Software Propagation & Configuration Control

  1. Execute software propagation activities according to approved deployment plans and procedures.
  2. Support software deployment schedules to minimize production disruption.
  3. Perform pre- and post-deployment verification to confirm software integrity and system functionality.
  4. Maintain software version records and verify equipment alignment to approved software baselines.
  5. Support engineering and IT teams in software change control and release activities.
  6. Document deployment activities, validation results, and deviations in accordance with established procedures.

Engineering & Process Support

  1. Assist engineers in equipment, process, and test head qualification activities, including data collection and documentation.
  2. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to test head utilization, software reliability, and operational efficiency.
  3. Participate in failure investigations and provide technical observations and recommendations.
  4. Provide feedback to engineering teams regarding process, procedure, and work instruction improvements.

Operational Excellence

  1. Share technical knowledge and provide support to Technician 1 and Technician 2 personnel when required.
  2. Ensure compliance with work instructions, standard operating procedures, and engineering requirements.
  3. Maintain accurate records of inventory, software versions, repairs, and operational activities.
  4. Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, EHS regulations, cleanroom protocols, and company policies.
  5. Maintain good housekeeping practices for work areas, equipment, and storage locations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

PREFERRED:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, test operations, equipment support, or related environments.
  • Experience in test equipment operation, test head handling, maintenance support, or process support.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, automated systems, or software-related issues.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety requirements, including PPE usage and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.

SKILLS

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
