About this role
Overview
Calspan's Wind Tunnel is the only independently owned and operated wind tunnel in the United States. We are immediately hiring an experienced and versatile Technician to join our Wind Tunnel Team!
Due to the security requirements for this position, US Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Support testing by efficiently operating equipment and ensuring accurate results and records. Provide support in the resolution of technical problems.
Perform set-up and installation of equipment, instrumentation, cable routing, soldering and checkout before, during and after the test.
Support the maintenance, installation and repair of test lab and equipment to maximize operational availability.
Document test procedures and installations. Provide guidance with data calculation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in related discipline
- Troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems
- Electrical and electronic principles
- Perform operations and execute test procedures for engineering, scientific, or real-time data acquisition
- Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
- Testing and inspection principles and procedures
- Microsoft Office
- US Citizenship
