About this role
Job Summary
CIMax/DB2 Specialist responsible for providing deep expertise in a legacy insurance applications and DB2-based data repositories during the data modernization journey. The role supports data discovery, profiling, extraction, mapping, and migration of historical and operational data into the Databricks Lakehouse platform. Work closely with architects and domain teams to understand complex legacy datasets, business rules, and data dependencies. Ensure accurate transformation and reconciliation between legacy systems and target canonical models. Drive data quality improvements, support regulatory and reporting needs, and help preserve institutional knowledge while enabling a scalable, cloud-based analytics ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze CIMax and DB2 data structures, relationships, and business rules supporting crop insurance operations. Perform data profiling, source system assessments, and mapping activities for migration to the Lakehouse platform. Identify data dependencies, transformation requirements, historical retention strategies, and reconciliation controls. Collaborate with Guidewire, domain, and engineering teams to harmonize legacy and target-state datasets. Validate data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across migration cycles. Support audit, regulatory, and operational reporting requirements. Troubleshoot source-system issues, document technical metadata, and provide expertise during SIT, UAT, production deployment, and hypercare phases to ensure successful modernization and business continuity.
