The M365 Technical Project Manager will lead and coordinate the Microsoft 365 Project within a major company merger and integration programme.

The role will manage M365 delivery with touchpoints across Information Management Governance, M365 data migration and integration, Data Governance & Security and Applications, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI dependencies for a large scale tenant to tenant user and data migration following a company merger and now into delivery of the user, data and systems ‘carve out’ and integration.

The role requires a technically credible project manager who can understand the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, coordinate specialist teams, manage cross-workstream dependencies and translate technical activity into clear delivery plans, risks, decisions and programme-level reporting.

Expected deliverables:

  • M365 workstream delivery plan and milestone tracker.
  • M365 RAID log, action tracker, decision log and dependency map.
  • Migration plan, readiness tracker and cutover input.
  • Workstream meeting packs, minutes and project reporting inputs.
  • Business readiness, adoption and post-migration stabilisation trackers
  • Proven experience project managing Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive or digital workplace delivery in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience managing M365 migration, tenant migration / integration, collaboration platform consolidation or merger/integration activity.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online and Power Platorm.
  • Ability to manage depfendencies across Information Management, data migration, Cyber Security, Data Governance, Applications and business change workstreams.
  • Understanding of information governance, records management, metadata, permissions, retention, classification and content lifecycle principles.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, M365 security and compliance capabilities, GDPR and internal policy controls.
  • Strong project delivery discipline, including planning, RAID management, reporting, governance, workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical delivery activity into clear business-facing updates.
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers, Service Integrators and internal delivery teams.
  • Strong ownership, delivery focus and ability to create structure in a high-change merger and integration environment.
  • Confident stakeholder management across technical, business, supplier and program audiences.
  • Pragmatic risk, issue and dependency management with disciplined follow-through.
  • Ability to challenge delivery progress constructively, clarify ownership and drive decisions.
  • Collaborative working style across Information Management, IT Foundational, Cyber Security, Applications and business teams.
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
