About this role

We are looking for a motivated Senior Technical Project Manager to join the Devsu team. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates based in Latam.

You will be assigned to lead and manage different projects. Your responsibility will be to maintain the health of the project and accelerate the flow of work from idea to delivery. This includes prioritizing work in sprint planning and coordinating and managing releases with the product team, tech team, and the client.

While this position won't require day-to-day coding, we do expect you to have hands-on experience in the Software Development Life Cycle. We envision our management and technical teams aligning and making technical decisions together.

You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes from idea through development, test, and production environments.

At Devsu, the product manager works collaboratively with all participants in the software development process and supports the different teams involved, UI/UX designers, developers, and testers. They work closely with technical leads and the client to ensure the product continues to evolve and delight users with the right new features. They also ensure that our teams have the resources to succeed in continuously software and creating value for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain all of your projects profitable.
  • Monitor metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain high levels of team and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate product releases based on business objectives and development needs.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between devsu teams and the client.
  • Negotiate, plan, and manage all product development activities.
  • Participate in planning or change meetings to discuss estimates, product scope, and/or roadblocks.
  • Communicate to stakeholders project plans, commitments, and changes, including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Hands on experience in the Software Development field (As Software Developer, QA Engineer, etc.)
  • 4+ years of previous product management or project management experience in software projects.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development, testing, or operations.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Command of the English language, advanced written and verbal communication skills.
