Tech Lead – Enterprise Applications & Integrations (JCI) 

Location: only  Bangalore ( Hybrid )
Employment Type: Fulltime 
Experience: 10–14 years (with 3+ years in a Tech Lead role) 
Reporting To: Engineering Manager / Director 

 

Role Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to own the architecture, integration, and delivery of enterprise applications across Johnson Controls (JCI) platforms. 

This role requires strong leadership across  C#/.NET backend services, and enterprise integrations including integration with SharePoint. The Tech Lead will drive technical decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable solutions aligned with enterprise standards. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Architecture & Integration Leadership 

  • Lead solution architecture for enterprise applications and integrations across:  

  • JCI platforms 

  • Salesforce 

  • SharePoint 

  • Define and govern:  

  • API standards 

  • Data contracts 

  • Integration patterns 

  • Security and access models 

  • Design scalable, resilient, and secure architectures aligned with enterprise and IT standards. 

 

2. FrontEnd Engineering (Angular) 

  • Design and guide development of AngularJS / Angular applications, including:  

  • Componentbased architecture 

  • State management strategies 

  • Performance optimization and scalability 

  • Ensure seamless UI integration with enterprise backend systems. 

  • Drive frontend engineering standards, code quality, and accessibility best practices. 

 

3. Delivery & Technical Leadership 

  • Lead and mentor a team of 6–10 engineers, providing:  

  • Code reviews 

  • Architecture and design guidance 

  • Technical coaching and mentoring 

  • Sprintlevel delivery oversight 

  • Own endtoend technical delivery for complex workflows such as:  

  • CRM case management 

  • Work order lifecycle management 

  • Document generation and automation 

  • Create reference architectures, reusable patterns, and proofofconcepts (POCs). 

 

4. DevOps & Engineering Excellence 

  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including:  

  • Code quality gates 

  • Branching and release strategies 

  • Automated testing 

  • Production release management 

  • Drive nonfunctional requirements:  

  • Performance and scalability 

  • Reliability and availability 

  • Security and compliance 

  • Observability and monitoring 

  • Define and validate disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. 

 

5. Stakeholder & Product Collaboration 

  • Translate business requirements into:  

  • Technical designs 

  • Architecture artifacts 

  • User stories and implementation plans 

  • Partner with Product Owners to:  

  • Shape backlog priorities 

  • Define release scope 

  • Plan delivery milestones 

  • Lead architecture reviews, RFCs, and technical deepdives with:  

  • Information Security teams 

  • Infrastructure / Cloud teams 

  • Business and enterprise stakeholders 

  • Provide effort estimates, risk assessments, and longterm technical roadmaps. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 

  • Strong experience leading enterprise application integrations. 

  • Handson expertise with:  

  • AngularJS / Angular 

  • RESTful APIs and integration patterns 

  •  SharePoint integrations 

  • Experience working with industrial or building management systems, preferably Johnson Controls (JCI) platforms. 

  • Strong understanding of:  

  • Security, authentication, and authorization 

  • Enterprise access and entitlement models 

  • Proven experience leading teams and driving delivery in Agile / Scrum environments. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience modernizing legacy industrial or building systems. 

  • Knowledge of middleware, eventdriven architectures, or iPaaS platforms. 

  • Familiarity with enterprise DevOps tooling and cloudnative deployments. 

  • Strong communication skills with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
