Job Summary

Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to drive architecture, delivery, and engineering quality for an enterprise AI workflow automation platform.
The platform combines a multi-agent backend (FastAPI, LangChain/LangGraph), Azure cloud services (Cosmos DB, Key Vault), and an Excel Add-in frontend (Office.js/TypeScript) to automate complex planning and decision-support workflows.

You will lead end-to-end technical execution across backend, frontend, and data integration layers, while mentoring engineers and setting strong standards for reliability, performance, and secure development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own technical architecture and roadmap for the multi-agent orchestration platform.
2. Lead design and implementation across Python/FastAPI services, agent orchestration, and Office.js frontend integration.
3. Drive API contract quality, service reliability, and inter-agent communication patterns.
4. Ensure production-grade engineering practices: observability, structured logging, error handling, retries, and performance tuning.
5. Guide Cosmos DB schema evolution, data consistency, and query efficiency.
6. Enforce secure secret management with Azure Key Vault and enterprise security standards.
7. Define and uphold coding standards, review quality gates, and test strategy (unit, integration, E2E).
8. Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
9. Mentor engineers, improve team velocity, and build a culture of high ownership and technical excellence.
10. Support release planning, incident triage, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

1. 4+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years in a Technical Lead or Staff-level role.
2. Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI in production systems.
3. Proven experience designing distributed or multi-service architectures.
4. Experience with LLM/agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar).
5. Strong cloud experience on Azure, including Cosmos DB and Key Vault.
6. Experience with API-first design, versioning, and backward compatibility management.
7. Solid frontend collaboration skills, ideally with TypeScript and Office.js or comparable web app frameworks.
8. Strong grounding in CI/CD, automated testing, and production observability.
9. Excellent communication skills and ability to align engineering with business outcomes.
10. Skill set needed to lead this project: strong multi-agent orchestration design, including tool-calling workflows, agent state management, and failure recovery strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in enterprise workflow automation domains.
2. Experience with Excel Add-ins, Webpack-based frontend builds, or plugin-style enterprise tools.
3. Familiarity with vector search, retrieval pipelines, and prompt/agent evaluation workflows.
4. Experience leading modernization initiatives and technical documentation governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance / solutions ;define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team.
2. To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
