Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Artist to join our dynamic team in the gaming industry. As a Technical Artist, you will act as a bridge between the art and programming teams, ensuring that the game’s visual elements are implemented efficiently and perform optimally across platforms. You will work closely with artists and developers to solve complex technical challenges while maintaining the creative vision of the game.

Key Responsibilities
  • As a Technical Artist, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between the art and programming departments within the game development pipeline.
  • Design, build, improve or optimize Pipelines to streamline and support production.
  • Assets optimisation to meet technical requirements while maintaining artistic quality- pushing for top visual quality and performance.
  • Asset integration inside Unity and/or mobile Proprietary game engines.
  • Writing optimized shaders with HLSL/GLSL
  • Connecting various DCCs/tools/systems into cohesive pipelines from content creation through to the game - for art and Animation teams.
  • Prototype, develop, and test tools that will be used by the artists to improve and assist their work in production and streamline the pipelines.
  • Help and spearhead the QA Team on ensuring that assets are 100% bug- free and shippable
Requirements
  • Be creative and strong in solving technical problems, and comfortable with breaking new ground and developing innovative solutions.
  • Experience with Game Engines, preferably Unity.
  • Strong understanding of DCCs like Maya.
  • Experience with C#, Python, MEL
  • Knowledge of shader programming with HLSL/GLSL.
  • Experience generating lightmaps and baked lighting.
  • Fundamentals of Overall Game Art Production Pipeline that includes Modeling, Lookdev, Rigging, Animation, asset exporting, and process automation workflows.
  • Intermediate-Advanced rigging skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with version control systems like Git, Perforce
  • Vector math understanding is a plus
  • Maya API knowledge is a plus.
