Role purpose

Supporting the store management in motivating, developing the team, and achieving store targets. Working on the sales floor providing assistance to customers by helping them throughout the store.

The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• Greeting customers in store and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Assisting with the sales process by maintaining a fully stocked store
• Understanding client’s requirements and recommending products or merchandise to them
• Taking payments for purchases and packaging purchases
• Taking inventory and monitoring sales floor
• Making sure that the other staff are adhering to the company guidelines and procedures
• Assisting with transactions
• Opening/closing the store
• Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of store operations
• Serving as the company’s brand representative, upholding highest standards in carrying out daily functions
• Achieving sales goals to ensure the store’s objectives on sales and profits are met.
• Taking on the higher responsibilities that may be assigned by the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

• A minimum of 2 years working experience in retail sales
• Good understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

• Able to handle cash and credit card payments.
• Computer skills to be able to utilize retail sales program.
• Can manage schedules and inventory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an approachable attitude
• Must be attentive to customers’ needs and determined to provide customer satisfaction.
